I am curious, you report flooding in the tunnels had been reported in the past? Hmm, I never heard that but I heard that there had been pools of water bubbling that people thought were springs at WPNP. I also heard that a pipe from the leftover military infrastructure had ruptured (a long time ago) and caused flooding at the surface. But I never heard there was flooding inside the tunnels. Is this a valid report or just a rumor?

I’m curious to know if anyone conducted a forensic examination on the 58 inch drain which must have been leaking for years for it to undermine the hillside to such an extent that it caused it to slide.

I have observed the City working at night, including Sunday’s checking drains in the Palisades area, this NEVER happened before the slide.

Has anyone subpoenaed the maintenance records for the 58 inch drain yet?

Hi Terry and Chris – The PRA Board is addressing the dog park and access to the open space tonight at the PRA Board meeting – and acting on it. Nonetheless, as we were told at the Coastal SP presentation, the park will be closed at dusk.

We need to know precisely where this is. The open space that boders Weymouth, Hamilton and the Preserve was negoitiated by the Air Force and the Residents Association to remain open to the public and without any additions. Already they’ve broken that promise by keeping it closed and erecting the 5 watt “security” lights along the fenceway.

Where is the parking for this dog park. It sounds like the North East end of WPNP not North West , if Sylvius and Hamilton are the residents you are concerned with. Also, will the park be physically closed at dusk?

The Dog Park is for Pacific Crest and Pacific Heights Air force Housing residents only. The drainage / irrigation will be explained and clarified, at the PRA’s request, at the Coastal San Pedro Neighborhood Council 6:30 meeting tonight…
