CLEARWATER IN THE PALISADES?
Corner Store | Tuesday, June 14, 2011 @ 6:00 PM **PLEASE NOTE RESCHEDULED DATE**
The Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County will present to the Palisades Residents Association to give an update on the progress of the project and how it may impact our neighborhood. A key session indeed.
You can find more information at www.clearwaterprogram.org. Click on “What’s New” and the current newsletter has a map and details of the four alignments under consideration.

When I had my interview with two reps from the Clearwater Program, I said that I would vigorously speak out against placing any access shaft at Royal Palms and Angel’s Gate because of what the processes would do to local residents near that area and the rest of San Pedro. The access shafts must be dug on Terminal Island even though they are the costliest. Remember that if you don’t live in the South Shores area, you don’t utilize the outfalls or tunnels of the County Sanitation Districts. The least costly alternative in terms or suggested dollars is, by far, the most costly to the residents and streets of those who live in The Palisades and Southern San Pedro.
Mark,
what is the latest on which route will be chosen for the Clearwater project? Their website has lots of vague information and I’m so worried that they will choose alternative # 4. Thanks for any info you can share.
