Discover an eclectic mix of San Pedro’s most fascinating homes at the Spring for White Point Home Tour & Reception on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 1- 5 PM. A contemporary remodel with beautiful water gardens inside and out, a 1920’s cottage with an award-winning New Zealand artist’s modern studio, are two of six homes to be featured on this year’s self-guided tour,. The tour is an annual community event hosted by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy and the Spring for White Point Committee. All proceeds from the event benefit the White Point Nature Preserve and new Nature Education Center in San Pedro.

This year Random Lengths News is supporting the event by offering exclusive advertising opportunities to the Home Tour Sponsors in HarboRLiving magazine. The issue to be published on May 27, 2010 is a Special Home Tour Edition featuring the history, architecture and other interesting details about the featured homes. Sponsor advertising will have prominent media visibility at a special discounted rate in this popular edition of HarboRLiving, which has a circulation of 30,000.

Following the tour, ticket holders are invited to enjoy a celebration reception from 4:30 to 7:00 PM at the new White Point Nature Education Center with wine, appetizers, live music, and a silent auction. They will have a special opportunity to tour the Nature Education Center which features multi-media exhibits of White Point’s cultural and natural history and a native plant demonstration garden and which will serve as a community resource for students, families and community groups from all over Los Angeles. The Center is set amidst the beautifully restored 102-acre Preserve with impressive ocean views, and 3.7 miles of groomed and handicapped accessible hiking trails that wind through the restored native coastal sage scrub habitat.

Tickets will go on sale in April and may be purchased in advance for $50 per person. More information on tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available on the Land Conservancy’s website at www.pvplc.org or call (310) 541-7613.
